How We Check Energy Programs
We use official utility, government, and program information whenever possible. Energy programs can change quickly.
What we check
Seven things, every time.
We explain program information in our own words. We do not copy utility websites.
Every major program page shows when it was last reviewed and links to the official source.
- Program status
- Eligibility
- Deadlines
- Equipment rules
- Contractor rules
- Pre-approval rules
- Official links
Status labels
We never mark a program OPEN unless we verified it.
If information becomes old, the label changes back to VERIFY CURRENT PROGRAM DETAILS.
- OPEN
- We confirmed the program is accepting applications.
- LIMITED FUNDING
- The program is running but funding may be tight.
- WAITLIST
- Applications are being queued.
- CLOSED
- The program is not accepting applications.
- VERIFY CURRENT STATUS
- We have not confirmed it recently. Treat it as unknown.
